Here's how the program works:After we receive your application, we will call you for a convenient time to install the high-tech programmable thermostat. Con Edison will communicate with the thermostat with a signal similar to a pager and/or beeper. We'll cycle the compressor on and off on your central air-conditioning unit to reduce demand on our electric system. Your fan will continue to operate and circulate air.

Who is eligible: Con Edison residential, residential religious and business customers (with peak demand of less than 100kw) with central air conditioning.
